Isn't it obvious? You are comparing an American brand with a Korean car. Seriously, the Ford will have better and higher resale value than Kia.

But then, Kia are improving. People are always criticizing Kia, Hyundai, Daewoo (now Chevrolet), Daihatsu (hey, their engines are from Toyota, you know that), Tata, the list goes on, but they never realized these cars are getting too good nowadays their interior looked modern, and stability have improved drastically.

  • Ford most definitely has the better resale value of the two. You're way less likely to be as upside down in a Ford as you will be in a Kia whenever you decide to sell or trade.

  • If you buy the Kia you're buying it expecting to drive it until it falls apart. Resale value on a car like the Kia can't match that of a Ford.

Ford has the better resale currently. However in the latest Consumer Reports, mid size sedan, the Kia Optima is #3 BEATING Toyota so perhaps resale will start to increase in the years to come.

Without a doubt the Ford has a better resale value! Best way to get the answers u are looking for is to go to www.edmunds.com and get vehicle quotes on new and used vehicles to see which holds the value better since u never stated which u were looking for, the cheapest or the more pricey one good luck

Ford! But KIA hasn't been around long enough (with there current generation of cars) to have any type of reliable reputation for resale.

Yes and most of the auto mags say they're more reliable as well. Toyota has recalled 39% of the cars they've manufactured since 2002. Their reliability has slipped greatly.
