Curing means to salt the meat. I guess it helps it last longer. The only other thing I could say is if the pig is dead, it's too late for a cure. lol!

Because when a pig is alive, Cure means to aid or fix an illness or a disease.

When a pig is dead, Cure means to treat its skin so that you can make leather and to add spices and cut its meat in various ways to get the various types of meat (ham, bacon, pork, etc.)

    Oh LOL!

Maybe the pig dislikes the cure???

  • you can in a way "cure" it before it dies by feeding it food that will make it taste better...some farmers feed there pigs only oak acorns months before the deed is done. kinda gross in a way to think about it

I saw this before, but I'll play along.

Maybe because the tape worms are running rampant.

it is easier to keep them still that way.
