Extremists in both Islam and Christianity are raising the young to be extremists, and are using tactics similar to the Hitler Youth, or other means of indoctrination.

Additionally, both use idiotic stereotypes to motivate the uneducated into following their ideological move.

Addendum: it should be remembered that American Fundamentalists do NOT represent Christians as a whole any more or less than Iraqi politically charged Islamic extremeists represent Islam as a whole.

I agree to the point that the tactics used by both are for the purpose of power and control. I disagree to the point that The Nazi's tactics were with evil intentions and the Islamic tactics are for the purpose of True Religion.

The tactics of the Nazi's were nothing new, and have been done many times by lots of different groups. These tactics have even been done by Christian groups. So yes, they are probably using similar tactics to the Nazis. But you could say that about most fringe religious groups.

However, indoctrination techniques are pretty standard, so it would not surprise me.

I would say that many Christians use the same techniques as the Nazi used to ensure correct thinking amongst the Hitler Youth, and other organizations.

Their tactics are different; but their motivations - hate - are similar. This also includes the crusades, and many other historical "cleansing".
