no, but there is nothing in the etitquette rules that state that you have to handwrite a thankyou note to people you have done a small monetary transaction.

We were always asked to be very thankful when we delivered the orders. Like make an honest, sincere "thank you for supporting my troop" type deal... real cute coming from a 12 year old.

If i had a client who ordered excessively... like over 10boxes... i'd write a cute lil note and put in the bag or box for delivery.

Um why would you write thank you notes for sales of girl scout cookies!! Seems like a total waste of time and money for the paper youre writing the thank you on. The only time I'd consider it is IF they bought boxes and boxes and boxes of them.

  • Back in 1991, my sister and I sold Girl Scout cookies at my dad's office. A few weeks later, one of my dad's clients gave my sister and I these cute jelly snacks from an Asian supermarket. It was her reward of saying that my sister and i did a good job selling Girl Scout cookies to everyone. :)

No. I would not consider that necessary. If they were grandparents or someone who was buying a lot because they wanted to support the girl scouts or your daugter specifically, she might draw them a thank you picture or something. But most people want the cookies anyway...they are their own little thank you :)

I don't think she should or must. If she has to, the amount she makes for the charities will be reduced by the amount she has to spend of the thank you notes. Thanking them face to face is good enough.

whenever i sold things for my daughters fundraisers, i always had them write notes thanking each person for their purchase. it was a practice i was adamant about when my daughters were growing up, and i still find the thank you note to be very important.

No. My grocery doesn't thank me either when I buy cookies from them. As they say... it's not personal, it's business.
