Prozac not working as well.?
I have been on Prozac, 10 mg, for almost 2 months. I was feeling better but I have noticed the last few days that I am not feeling as "good" as I was. I have no thoughts on doing my self in or anything. I am really tired and sleep about 9 hours a night (sleep is the only thing I want to do). I do take it at night, I don't think I would remember to take it in the morning. I do plan on calling my doctor in the morning. Thanks

I'd agree that 10mg is very low dose as I started with 20mg.
The sleep thing might just be the prozac itself as that's one of the side effects I've gotten from it which has increased over the past few weeks.
Since you're taking them during the time your bodies natural levels of dopermine are supposed to be falling then you'll probably find it really messes with your sleeping, thus you'll neeed even more sleep to catch up. Also the effects will wear off several hours earlier than intended so you'll start to feel worse.
9 hours sleep is about normal anyway (8 hours is the official average), but you will find that Prozac does make you sleep more. However if the other stuff is coming back then I suspect you need to be on the higher 20mg dosage.

I was on Prozac for a couple of years. I didn't feel anything, I mean I didn't feel it work. So maybe it's time for your doctor to change your med or up the dosage.

Sounds like you need to increase your Prozac. 10mg is the lowest dose you can take. People usually start off taking 20mg. You can take up to 80mg of Prozac, so just tell your doctor you would like to increase your dose. You can try 20mg, then if that doesn't do it, increase to 40mg, then 60mg, then up to 80mg if you need to.

10mg is low. I had milder depression and I was on 20mg. Prozac is rubbish anyway; its too overcommercialised for its own good. Try changing meds.
