  • How do you get rid of fleas?

I have tried everything I can think of. I have used both front line and advantage, not at the same time. Flea powders, baths and treated the lawn. We have bombed the house. I am washing everything I can and vacuuming all the time. What else can I do. She had fleas when we got her but they seem to be getting worse. She is up all night scratching and I feel so bad for her. We are using the right weight class of front line. She is black so looking for them is hard. I do look on she stomach for fleas and have never seem any.

  • Will the tax stimulus check reduce my income tax refund that we will get next year?

If we normally get about 5000 dollars in a tax refund will we get 1200 less next year? I have read both yes and no. I know in years past this has been the case that it has reduced the amount of our tax refund when we fill the next year.

  • Prozac not working as well.?

I have been on Prozac, 10 mg, for almost 2 months. I was feeling better but I have noticed the last few days that I am not feeling as "good" as I was. I have no thoughts on doing my self in or anything. I am really tired and sleep about 9 hours a night (sleep is the only thing I want to do). I do take it at night, I don't think I would remember to take it in the morning. I do plan on calling my doctor in the morning. Thanks

  • My husband has pain where wisdom teeth use to be (removed 20 years ago). What could it be from?

He was at the dentist about a month ago for a cleaning and x-rays (everything was fine) Eating or drinking does not cause more pain, it's not sensative to hot or cold. He is getting over a head cold, with cough. Any ideas about what it could be? thanks

  • Does your child's school have a "lice policy?"?

Talking with another mother on the playground yesterday she said that Vermont is the only state that has a big lice problem because our children are not sent home from school if they have lice/nits. We as parents are not even told if there is lice in your child's classroom (which I don't think is OK). Do other people have lice problems in their schools? Does your school have a "lice policy"? Let me know what state you are from too. I would love to let this person know that it is not just Vermont, or maybe she is right either way I would love to know. Yes two of my boys had lice last year.

  • My gas oven will not work?

The burners all work but the oven does not. There is power to the knob that you use to turn the oven on and adjust the temp ( my husband found out when he tried to take it apart and got zapped) I don't think the gas is even flowing to the oven when you "turn it on" you can't smell any. The breaker is on. It's a Whirpool drop on stove that is only a year old. My husband has looked for a pilot light and can't find one. Any help would be great.

  • Now that the snow is melting, my lawn looks like it has mold on. What can I do to get rid of it?

Now that the snow has finally started to melt you can see gray fuzzy patches on my lawn. The area where it is, is not normally wet and it does get about 6 hours of sunlight a day. Will it go away on it's own, or do I need to do something to get rid of it?The lawn is only about a year old. Last year we did to much work on it to just let it die. I live in Northern Vermont if that is important.

  • My son who is in Kindergarten has started biting a little girl in his class.?

It started the week before Thanksgiving, it happened again today and he was suspened for a day. I am at the end of my rope. We have taken things away from him, made him sit in his room, "clean" the bathroom (the school suggested giving him a chore) giving him extra school work at home, but nothing seems to work. At school he is now not able to eat with his class and will spend recess in a 4th grade classroom. They think at school that he likes the girl, which I agree with. He was never a biter when he was little. He knows that it hurts, that she does not like it and it is not OK. I think because he is not doing it to be mean (which does not make it OK) he does not think he is doing anything wrong. He did ask to give her a hug but she said no (do you blame her?) Any suggestions on how to get him to stop would be great. Thanks.
