I'm more worried about Iran. For those historically challenged, Iran was formerly Persia, and the longest lasting, greatest superpower the world has ever seen. It has only been the past 50-60 years that Iran has not been considered a powerful nation, but for the better part of the last few thousand years, they've enjoyed being the most advanced and militarily prepared nation ever in existance. They have had the history of having the longest reign of any government power. They always follow through with their threats and promises, history teaches that as well, and yet we still don't take them seriously. That has to stop, or we're welcoming ourselves being the ones blasted into oblivion.

A "survival compound" would be a bad idea...the government would know about it and it would be one of the first targets on the list! Cabin in the woods...small groups (cells) of people would be far more effective.
Of course, 25 years ago (give or take a few years) Jimmy Carter managed to orchestrate a peace agreement between Israel and Egypt...people ran to compounds then too and nothing came of it. ...and the idea of George Bush as the anti-christ is laughable...he doesn't even have as much charisma as Carter did!

June 21st is the 3 1/2 point until the Mayan date of Dec 21st 2012. Hum very interesting. President Bush can't even make peace in his own political party. Sorry anything is possible but not very likely.

It was my understanding that the peace accord was for seven years. And even if that were the case, the temple where the dome of the rock now stands still needs to be rebuilt, Jesus will not return until that temple is rebuilt.

Maybe 2012 is the "end of the world" where we finally unite in our understanding that we are all one and should look out for one another vs. all this fighting for natural resources...

Um...isn't there supposed to be a 1000-year kingdom of God on Earth before Judgement Day? In which case since it hasn't even started yet, Judgement Day can't even be before the year 3008...

There's not going to be a peace agreement.
