Who has been the best president that you have seen?

For me it was Ronald Reagan. He gave the country an air of confidence that has yet to be seen. He was a great leader and communicator.

Puleeeze. Reagan was just an actor - sure he looked and talked smooth, but his domestic policies destroyed the integrity of this country in immeasurable ways. The Soviet Union was on the verge of collapse and the old coot took the credit.

Though I don't agree with everything he did, I have to say Clinton, since JFK died a month before I was born. The economy may not have been his doing, but his administration helped keep up the momentum. Building a huge federal surplus was nice too. His diplomacy gained us quite a bit of respect worldwide. Unfortunately his successor managed to squander both.

Most honest and decent human being ever to sit in the White House - Jimmy Carter.

Reagan was a narcoleptic buffoon who was led by the nose by the Christian right. He bankrupted the nation producing a military that we knew would never be used in the first place. He killed more social programs that used to do some good (even if it wasn't as efficient as it should have been) for a lot of people that couldn't afford it.

Great? Maybe at reading from a script. But then again, that's what actors do. Stay sober, maintain plausibility and say the lines given to you in the right order. Reagan was a champ.

Best President I've seen? That's a no brainer. Bill Clinton. Hands down. Used the military for the right reasons (not economic ones, but humanitarian ones). Made sure that the social programs did what they were supposed to do, which is a helping hand and not a hand-out. Kept the religious dirtbags out of the White House.

    What's not to like?

Haven't had any good presidents in my life time. Carter is a great man but horrible president. Supported the shah and let the economy further demise. Reagan started a debt to make the economy temporarily pop. Bush Senior did nothing about the economy. Clinton did nothing but say go economy go and got lucky because that is what happened. As for Bush W, if it wasn't for 911 he would have never won a second term.

I would say George Walker Bush, the current and 43rd President of the United States of America who I consider as the Greatest President in American History. He has brought honor and dignity back to the presidency and he is very passionate and enthustic about helping All Americans, and I especially believe he has shown so much compassion to the poor and minorities in America. I believe Bush has good moral values and is a good role model for children in America and I will miss Bush when is presidency ends one year from now.

Reagan sucked and he's partly the reason this country is in such a mess. In my life time, I have never seen a good president. I wasn't around during JFK. So they have all been huge disappointments.

Why do people continue to attribute the dot com business boom to Bill Clinton? Bill had nothing to do with that...and that was all that kept this country out of red ink since none of Clinton's budgets ever produced a true surplus - just a projected surplus that was spent before the fiscal year ever began.
