I bought the car used, and it now has 80,000 miles on it, can I still take it in?
Can I just call any Pontiac Dealer and ask them to look at the car, and see if it does need work?

Call the dealer and ask. They can tell you if your particular car (sometimes only a few cars are actually recalled) was recalled and if it was actually taken in and fixed.

I have an un-modded 2004 Grand Prix GT. The other night the highway wasn't busy and essentially clear. I decided to gun it and test for myself what the top speed of the car was. I was able to hit about 107-109 when the engine flat lined and my speed would not increase any more. I still have a few more runs to have at before I completely stick by this but that is what I hit when I tried at it.

Any pontiac dealer can take the VIN and check to see if there are any open recalls on this vehicle - and that's the key: OPEN. Any open recalls will be performed at no charge to you.
