    Absolutely!

According to the American Red Cross:

"Chlamydia, venereal warts (human papilloma virus), or genital herpes are not a cause for deferral if you are feeling healthy and well and meet all other eligibility requirements."

Herpes is NOT in a persons blood like HIV/AIDS is. Herpes affects the skin, it's not a blood disease. Herpes can be TESTED by a blood sample, but in order for a person to spread it they either have to have sex (vaginal, oral, or anal) with someone who has it, or they need to have DIRECT skin to skin contact with an infected area. It can also be passed during birth if the mother has the virus. This happens when the baby is coming through the birth canal and rubs against the sores (DIRECT skin to skin contact).

    Take care!

you have become faulty solutions. I dont understand if that is going to result you getting married in Cancun, yet opposite to different solutions, HERPES may well be DETECTED IN A BLOOD attempt even once you DONT HAVE a virus. Herpes is a virus. as with the different virus, the antibodies are on your blood for existence, and might certainly be detected via a blood attempt. in actuality, this is how maximum folk discover out they're a provider, a super form of folk who've herpes dont even understand and not using a blood attempt by using fact they never have a virus. notwithstanding, rather much everyone has atleast one form of herpes. merely approximately everyone has the oral edition. I dont think of having herpes will forestall you from getting married, yet you may might desire to verify community rules by using fact the two varieties of herpes are categorised as an std

The American Red Cross says that a person with herpes can donate.

"Chlamydia, venereal warts (human papilloma virus), or genital herpes are not a cause for deferral if you are feeling healthy and well and meet all other eligibility requirements."

The Blood Centers of the Pacific say you can donate if you have herpes IF you are free of fever or systemic symptoms.

    http://www.bloodcenters.org/donating/blood.htm

"Individuals With Herpes Can Donate Blood

According to the American Red Cross, individuals taking antiviral medication (acyclovir, valacyclovir, famciclovir) for any reason will need to wait 48 hours after their last dose before donating blood. The American Red Cross also defers individuals who are currently experiencing an outbreak of oral herpes ("cold sores") or genital herpes to not donate blood.

If you have any further questions regarding blood donations or want to find a location in your area where you can donate blood, please contact the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org or 1-800-GIVE-LIFE."

Yes, there is absolutely no problem with that, unless you are having an outbreak at the time. Herpes is not a blood-borne infection.

If they rejected people with herpes they would have to reject over 80% of the population, counting all those who have oral herpes!

If you have any kind of STD i don't think you can give blood. You can always call the Red Cross and ask, though.
