I htink that you SHOULD ask her out. it's worth a shot isn't it?? She may or may not say yes (it's a 50-50 chance), but you have to get yourself ready for that type of emotional pain if she doesn't say what you want to hear. You could just go out to get ice cream, or go shopping (That would be fun if the mall is big). You really have to go "Shopping" with her, but you can walk around a little, hang out with each other, is there a movie theatre there?? You could sotp by and watch a good movie and it wouldn't have to be a "date". You could also just ask her to be your girlfriend, she might see you as a good friend, or a guy that she really likes. You can't be certain until you ask. What you do is up to you. It might not be a very good idea to go to a pool right now, but you could go to one of those arcades and play against each other, or you could have a race on bikes around your neighborhood (the last person to get to a certain place has to but lunch). There are TONS of things you could do with her, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you're going "out". I hope I've helped!!! Wish you luck with her!!!

Since both of you have things in common, nothing is wrong if you try to ask her out. She might needs some excitement to forget her ex. BUT if I'm her, i don't want if you ask me to hang at the mall. Ask her to watch movie, pets shop (girls like pets you know..) or play game at the family recreation center. Do something that will make her forget her ex.

She may be just looking to have you back as her best friend. The best advice I can give you, (yes I'm a chick) is just continue to be the same way around her you are now. If something comes of it, great, but if you push for anything more it could make things awkward and not only will you not be dating her, you may lose your friend again.
