health related question; please can you give me your opinion on my symptoms?
coughing today, slight headache, pounds and aches when i cough?
Its just a dry cough its not too bad.
When I had a bad cold in december, I coughed loads & had a chest infection, & my head ached when I coughed.
Today cough is very slight compared to then, but both times when I cough my head hurts, today at the back left hand side of my head.
I am 25, female
Also last night I had trouble focussing on one spot (as if I was drunk but was sober) and had pain round/ behind eyes/slight headache. It came on sort of suddenly, wasn't too bad, could read etc, it was just like the room was almost spinning slightly, but I wasn't drunk. Lasted about half an hour.
Had eyetest 2 months ago which was fine. Could it be it due to tiredness? Migraine?
I don't think I get migraines?
Also I am sensitive to smells, sometimes when I smell perfumes im ok other times gives me headache
I know u will say get to a doctor which I will, just wondered if anyone has had the same symptoms.
Thankyou
Don't think i'm pregnant, just had my monthly.
Also had this vision thing about once every year.
Don't have a cold as such. No sore throat/runny nose. Just wondered about the vision think mainly.
mean thing.
I don't think have a cold, been fine since End of december. Just got a slight cough. Does your head ever hurt when you cough??
Thanks for all answers so far.

Certain perfumes give me a headache too, I don't know why, but I don't think it's related.
headaches, coughing, dizziness all suggest you still have the upper respiratory tract infection and it's also affecting your vestibular system (balance system in your ears). however, headaches and dizziness (esp if you feel drunk when sober) can indicate a handful of neurological conditions, although this is less likely, it should be checked if it persists for several months.
I'll give you a couple of quick exercises to check your cerebellum if you have a similar episode of feeling drunk
1 - hold one hand out either way up and with the other hand, bring it down to touch that hand and up, rotate that hand 180degrees and bring it down again, repeat
2 - make an 'opening a round door handle while moving your arm back and forth repeatedly' motion
3 - touch your finger to your nose and then a point on an object a foot or 2 away from you repeatedly.
if you totally lack coordination while sober, you have a cerebellar problem.

Sounds like stress. Sometimes you can strain yourself by coughing which can cause discomfort. Try not to focus on the pain(eyes back of the head) too much or you will only amplify it. It should pass. Go see your doc if you still have these symtomns after 3 days.
Also the best thing you can have to sooth a dry cough is water. Dry a sip or too and it should calm you down.

where u say u have a pounding headache and a pain in one eye it does sound like migraine. This affects just one side or part of your head normally try seeing a gp or taking some migraleve it really helps you can also take paracetemol with it to stop pain.

Sounds like you are having a relapse of previous cold/flu that you had in December. Yes, you may have to see a doctor to get on antibiotics to get rid of it completely. My doctor usually recommends Robitussin DM to get rid of the cough. Hope you feel better soon.

Tiredness - stress or simply the bugthat's doing the rounds at the moment - lots of it about and your symptoms are similar

I'd spend a day in bed if I was you, sounds like you got the remains of a virus/infection. You need a rest and your body is trying to tell you that.

You may have a virus or you may have infected sinus's.
Go back to your GP especially if you are having visual problems.
And yes your head can hurt when you cough especially if you have a virus!

You have an upper respiratory tract infection.
Posh way of saying you have a cold.
Take paracetamol or ibuprofen, lots of fluids and don't waste your doctor's time.
