Why does the Book of Mormon make the belly bitter?

Rev. 10: 9-10

9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

The interpretation of that could be open to many notions. However, if you want to apply it to the Book of Mormon, I can throw my 2 cents in.

The restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ found in the book of Mormon contains many pure and precious things and is "sweet to the taste" as you learn of it and accept it. Yet, with all of the opposite of those who would not have you receive that glorious message, ie Satan and his followers, you will find resistance, persecution, and a difficult path to staff true to Christ.

Perhaps that opposition, those trials and persecution are what bring a bitter belly as those who follow the Book of Mormon are faced with. Just spend some time here and read all of the opposition those simply expressing their faith in Mormonism feel. It truly causes a bitter belly..

there is not any archaeological data for something as recorded interior the e book of Mormon. The Bible is each and every often times supported via archaeological data in components: working example, the Books of Kings look often an precise historic previous of Israel and Judah. that does no longer advise the Bible is all actual, of direction: conflict and Peace includes many precise passages with regards to the Napoleonic wars, yet every person has an identical opinion that that's fiction. nevertheless, the Bible is an significant historic source. The e book of Mormon is basically relaxing fan-fiction.

So where does it say Mormon? How do you know it doesn't refer to Mao's little RED book? Or the modern bible, for that matter? Anyway, did they HAVE books way back when? I thought they were still using scrolls.

Answer: "We are to understand that it (the book) was a mission, and an ordinance for him to gather the tribes of Israel; behold, this is Elias, who, as it is written, must come and restore all things."

Undercooked. Had it been well done, it would have had a hint of nutmeg.
