Moms do you have a tip jar?

Question

From time to time as I do my chores I find small change (and occasionally big change) in my family's clothes pockets, between sofa cushions or sometimes even on the floor and I add it to what I call my tip jar. Do you do this too?

yes- one in the laundry room, one on a shelf in the living room and a tip box in the car!!!
the tip box actually came from having to drive a lot of my family members around... they were always trying to pay me, and I couldn't get them to understand that I like to help out my family (its older family members that need a ride to the doctor and things like that)  When my grandma (she's 82) started calling a car service instead of calling me, because I wouldn't take her money, I got the tip box... so they can put however much money they want to in there.  I put the money in my kid's college fund.

My mom, on the other hand, will put 50 cents in there for a 100 mile drive!  LOL!

I have a change bucket... I put money into it when I find it. I save change for special family things. Like a treat or to go somewhere special.  I keep dollar bills though.

yes i sure do! when i find it i put the change in a jar also and once it gets filled to the top i go cash it in and spend it on something a little special for myself or someone else!!

Of Course! Finders Keepers! Besides, if you are doing the laundry, and cleaning the living room, etc. when you find this money, you deserved to be tipped!

yes!!  i  save all  my     small  change   and  funnily   enough  i   found      a two pence  today  under  my table   ,   the  kids   counted it  all up    the  other day    ,i  have  nearly  eighteen  pounds     i  am  saving that  for  a rainy  day    lol

yeah we do that, and then with that money we save for an activity to do as a family, whether its a pizza and game night, or a movie night. yeah i think its a great idea

yes and whatever i find is mine since iam the one doing the cleaning and it seems to be alot which is good for me
