Sleep Paralysis, have you experienced it?

If so, how do you deal with it? I sometimes experience it with my eyes open, I try to move but can't, it used to be the most scarey of experiences until I learnt how to deal with it. I know it's nothing to do with the paranormal before anyone mentions it. I don't believe it all that $h?+

Yes - many years ago. Eventually I woke up properly. Check out the Wiki. "Hypnogogic State"

I used to get sleep paralysis when i was younger & didn't realise what it was, I only occassionally experience it now & it's usually when i'm over tired. I've not really found a way to deal with it, just try not to panic & wait.

Yes. this happened to me once. I thought someone was breaking into my house and I couldn't move, or do anything, really, really frightening. I only had the one experience so I'm sorry, I can't tell you how to stop it. It could be something that will go away on it's own.

I don't believe it is supernatural either. But, you all might be interested to know that some of the black folks around here call it being "ridden by the hag." Try that on your doctor as a diagnosis sometime!

It was really scary to begin with because I didn't know what it was, but now it doesn't bother me too much - I know I'll wake up properly after a while!

I've gone through that too, it's really scary. Haven't had it for a few year now (touch wood)

When that happens to me I just close my eyes and try to go back to sleep....
