I got a xbox 360 im just wondering wtf is red ring?

No one got the answer right. The ring of death is when the first, third, and fourth quadrants flash red. The screen doesn't go blue, you don't need a new HDD or anything like that. Two red lights means that the console is overheated and needs to cool off. It is not the ring of death. Four red lights means that the cables in the back are not connected properly.

The Red Ring of Death is a hardware failure issue with the Xbox 360 consoles.

Whenever you get the Red Ring of Death you will have to send your console to Microsoft.

Everyone who has purchased a 360 knows of the trouble that comes with it. You need to call microsoft (you can get the number off of www.xbox.com) and they will send you a box to put the system in. It comes with the packing and the shipping label to use. This costs you nothing out of your pocket. Expect to get your system back in about 3 weeks or so. It is a bummer and I know. I have been lucky. I have only had to return my system because of the red ring of death 3 times. I have friends who have had to return their systems 10 + times!

well...dont even get me started on that, i have had 4 xbox360 replacements from microsoft (they now offer a 3 yr warranty on ANY xbox 360 with the 3 flashing red rings) and now this one they JUST sent me has graphix problems, so guess what, back to texas to get repaired, the good thing though is its free to repair, just anoying as hell cause they all seem to suck! this next replacement though is going to be a new console, so good luck to you and good luck to me 2! call 18004myxbox for more info...

it is when 3 of the 4 quadrants light up red and means hardware failure and you have to send away but as far as I know the new 360's are not at risk

If you get the RRoD contact Microsoft support, they will replace it if it happens within three years of purchase.

there two things. red ring means your system is dead. another red ring means

that your system is not hook up correctly.
