Would you stop to help someone stuck in the snow?

Ok, this may be more of a rant, but today I got stuck in the snow. We've gotten about 15 inches in the past few days and while the roads have technically been plowed, they're far from driver friendly. So today, I was going uphill, doing just fine, when I noticed a bid ol truck stuck at the intersection where I was going, so I had to stop for that, and once I stopped I couldn't get going again. I was there for probably about 15 minutes, in the middle of the road, trying every gear, reverse...of course I didn't have sand, so I tried throwing some cherios under my tires, it's okay, you can laugh, and that didn't work, either, big surprise. A cop even drove by me and didn't stop. Meanwhile, my two year old son is strapped in his car seat, hysterical because his mom's getting there too, when finally a nice lady stopped and helped me by moving some trash cans and giving me some sand. Some people even glared at me as they drove by.What's wrong with people that they won't even help each other?

I will always try to help someone stuck in the snow. But sometimes, like the other day I asked a lady if she needed help, while she was still in her car, to find out that she was on the phone with her husband.

She replied NO THANKS! She was a bit hysterical, so I made sure she wasn't in any harm.left her on the phone with her husband.

Sometimes it would help (I know it can be cold) but to wave someone down if you need help.

Some people have to much pride in asking for help when there stuck, but if you NEED, then ASK for it.

Yes b/c in Iowa if u don't stop for a person who doesn't have emergency lights on u get a ticket/fine.

But if someone else is already helping the person u can just go right on by.

But really the only thing I could do for u is call on my cell phone for somebody for I just own a car not a truck.

Yes I have helped 2 people stuck in the snow, me and a friend of mines (we are girls) helped push this guys car out of a ditch/ snow and ice pile, while a couple of guys just watched. He offered us money but we didnt accept it. No one has ever return the favor while it was snowing, but a guy pulled my car out of a ditch with his F-150. I was so happy because it was raining and it was cold outside

Source(s): ButI do understand what your saying, do you know how many people honked the horn at me, because my car was stuck in the mud

    What's wrong with people?

    They're people, that's what's wrong with them.
