Can a child be taken out of Pre-K?

Pre-K is not mandatory in WV but once they are already in class can they be withdrawn to be kept out of school. They didn't move, they just don't have transportation. I've heard you can't withdraw them after the first 6 weeks. Does anybody know?.

Yes you can take them out but without a 2 week notice you will be charged for that 2 weeks at some pre-schools.

you should be able to withdraw them at any time given that it's not mandatory. however, if you are paying a child care program, they may have a requirement to give them notification in advance. read your parent handbook to find out if they need 2 weeks or 30 days notice.

also, if you'd like to keep them in the program, let them know about your transportation issues and find out if they know of alternatives, if they have a discount with a transportation company or can recommend a closer school.

sure they can be withdrawn - they probably have a form for you to fill out to officially withdraw your child - that will open the spot for another student. You can also be withdrawn for severe behavior - preschool is not mandatory, you can be removed or you can withdraw at any time.

Yes, they can be withdrawn. The children are under the parents authority, not the school's.

Here is some info that can help them teach their children at home until they go back to school.

Yes because it is not mandatory you can actually withdraw your child at any time without any reason.

well yes and no... If you hold your child back for too long then you will end up making your kid wait a whole other yr. So just make sure you take them before 6 weeks...

Sure...Yes you can get taken out of school because of transportation. It just depends of what school you go to because some schools can let their students withdrawl anytime and some schools they wont.

You can withdrawl them at any time, just advise them that the child will no longer be attending.
