Where can I have a symbolic wedding in the UK?

Ok, bear with me. My fiancee and her family live in the UK. I live in the US. Her visa to the US says we HAVE TO get married in the US (legally). That just means we have to sign the papers here.

However, since her family can't come, we want to have a CEREMONY in the UK. Where can we get this done?

The ceremony cannot be legally binding in ANY way, and it can't be a renewal of vows because we won't be married yet. Just symbolic and nothing more.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated and I would love some links if you have them. Thanks very much in advance!

Update:

Update: I understand the process. I know I just want to have a simple church blessing. I'm specifically asking if anyone knows WHERE I can do this. I'm looking for like the name of a church in Northern England or someplace that specializes in this kind of thing. Thanks!

Just sign papers here in the US. Then go over to the UK and have the Ceremony (dress, kiss) over in the UK.

There is a society called the Humanists, they are a non-denominational organisation who can officiate at ceremonies that are non-legally binding, so you could have a commitment ceremony conducted by them and then have the actual wedding in the US

can can have just a ring ceremony... not that this has anyhting to do with you but same sex couples do something similar because they cant legaly get married. just have someone in her family say the exchanging of ring vows and have another family memeber read a poem or something...and then go ut and celebrate. and when she comes to the states you can make it legal
