Why have URLs lost their hyperlinks?

I noticed this morning (I may be a little delayed in this "noticing"), but all the URL's have lost their hyperlinks.

Is this a new policy from Yahoo? Have they changed the site and things have stopped working?

OK, I see that

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ak...

has already noticed this feature...

Update 2:

Unfortunately, you can only "cut-n-paste" if the URL is short enough.....

I have discovered that if you "Answer" they hyperlink is available in that bit....

Let's hope that "Yahoo Jane" is efficient!!!

    yup, and that doesn't make any sense ... instead of a click we'll have to copy and paste ... not very user friendly, and doesn't stop us to use the links ...

    Considerably worse than a minor glitch, Yahoo! accidentally disabled the hyperlink feature effective sometime Wednesday, February 6, 2008.

    A Yahoo! employee ("Lou") reports "This is indeed a bug, and we are working to fix it. We will continue to post updates about the fix on the main page of the [Yahoo! Answers forum]" (select the "Forum" link at the upper right of any Yahoo! Answers Page).

    Yahoo! does not have an estimate as to when the hyperlink feature will be restored.

    I'm not sure why it's doing this, I was getting ready to ask this. Sure we can copy and paste, but not all of the links have the complete address and just take us to the main pages not the actual place we were meant to see. I hope Yahoo isn't making this permanent, there are some sections it's relevant in.

    Just don't panic about it. It is just a minor glitch Yahoo! Answers are facing, and they are working to fix it.
