I think realistically, you should probably go with your head for the moment. Although as you say Vale is not far off. Trouble is I dont think there's enough time left for him to get completely happy with the Bridgestone qualifiers. Casey seems to be able to go quickly right from the start. Probably the only Bridgestone rider that can. Bridgestone themselves have admitted that their qualifiers are behind the level of Michelin.

Race times are looking pretty good for both of them, and it shows what progress Vale has made (since October). Heres some comparison times from 2 of the Sepang tests. It only covers 8 laps because Casey I dont think did that many (but still managed to go fast):

Going by the testing I have been taking note of. Stoner gets up to speed so quickly, he goes and has a lie down while the others catch up. unless someone has been sandbagging. and going by the recorded times, I doubt it. sad to say stoner may run away with this title as well as the Beamer. I have never wanted to be so wrong.

On the plus side and for the sake of the sport. I'm going to back stoner for the championship. that should scupper that.

I'd say stoner, the only thing that will win rossi the championship this year is his corner speed, and his fantastic ability to over-take, don't think the yam will beat the duke in a straight line, know it sounds obvious, he still rides his bike's as if he is on a 250

It is more for getting over on your main rival, as it is for real testing.

I hope Vale can get the BMW, but I'm really just waiting for this season to kick off !
