2) Increasing "edgyness" Get upset more easily over things and growing feeling sof frustration.

3) Sleeping longer into the day and staying up later for no apparant reason.

All the above symptoms are on the clinical depression check list. I'm certainly not saying that's what it is (I'm NOT a doctor) but all those symptoms are on the check list for depression I got from my doctor's office.

At first glance, I thought she is bulimic. Poor diet, poor nutrition, just not getting enough sodium and electrolytes, she could show all these symptoms. It could be nothing more than a sodium imbalance. I'm wondering why she should suddenly start showing these symptoms now. If she is abusing drugs that would create this sudden imbalance. Have you noticed, or are you close enough to her, that you can see how much she's eating? Is she eating less than usual? Anorexia or bulimia could mean she's not eating enough or eating too much and then purging it. A lack of nutrition could make for this kind of acute anxiety. Why can't you just sit her down and ask her yourself? Invite her over for dinner, offer to make something she really likes and once you've got her attention make your pitch. Talk in a nice, calm and even voice. I'm sure too much anger would scare her away. Let her know your here and you'd be glad to help any way you can. Too much drama seems like that too would upset her delicate balance and you've lost your big opportunity. You need to get past the mystery and find some answers. You could be doing her a big favor. She sounds too weak and too anemic to think ahead or to put up too much of a fight. You're looking for info, not punishment. Remember to tell her you won't tell anyone, and be prepared to refer her to a counselor or hotline. Know when it's too much for you to handle and know when to quit. She might be thrilled to know you care enough to do anything. She sounds isolated and alone. I'm worried about her and I don't even know her. I wish you had provided more information. I hope this helps you.

I would say that it's depression. Is there anything that recently happened that would make you depressed??? If not I would definatly reccomend going to your doctor. If there was something that depressed you try talking to a close friend, or parent or someone like that about it.

    Best of luck,

    Hanna
