Yes to an extent but I keep in mind that as our economy goes so goes the rest of the world. Also, as we seem to be the big contributor to ensure the safety of others around the world, then I consider it very heavily.

No. I think first about who is the best candidate for MY country, and where they will lead us. The world has their own leaders to deal with. I realize that the American leader holds a lot of influence throughout the world but that is not my primary concern while selecting my candidate. My concern is for my country.

I consider how I think that person will deal with the rest of the world. I expect that person to look out for the US first, but a good working relationship with most of the rest of the world should be good for the US.
We have certainly been a bit delinquent in that area lately.

Because the U.S. is currently the most dominant nation in the world, I realize that our election yields a leader for the entire world. People in other countries have no vote. Among the millions of U.S. voters, I only have one.
The magnitude of my role in the decision is about the same as someone without a vote - which is to say none. It is for this reason (among other more philosophical reasons) that I do not participate in the farce.

When I choose a leader I don't think about whether other countries will approve of said leader. I do however choose a leader on how I think they would handle international issues that effect the US. So indirectly I choose a leader on how I feel he will handle our business with the rest of the world. But certainly don't care if the rest of the world approves of the leader I choose.

When YOU pick a leader do you think about the rest of the world or just your country? I think about who is going to do well in the economy, personal freedom, and respect the Constitution. I'm sorry I don't think about the 200-odd countries in the world when I'm in the polls. Selfish man.

Yes. I attempt to calculate the intentions of certain Heads of State. People such as Putin, Chavez, Kim and A-Jad are potentially dangerous to America and our president should not equivocate when it comes to defending us.

I think of the dangers in the rest of the world and which candidate would be the best Commander in Chief.
Do I wonder who France would like? No.

Of course not!
There is no world, only the United States and places we go on vacation. Thats it.
