Does anyone else out there think that R & S should be retitled "Atheists United"?
Since I've been reading here on R & S it seems that this is more of a forum for Atheists to bash everyone who does not share their views while accusing everyone who does have a belief of being stupid for choice of a better term.

Perhaps it should be called "ask an atheist". I've been here several months and my view on this place...
1. There are a small number of people who are thin skinned to the point of being skinless. Differing opinions truly cause them pain.
2. There are indeed two groups here but it is NOT theists and atheists. It is 'rational people' & 'idiots'.
Rational people don't feel differing opinions and aren't bothered by what others believe so long as all they're doing is believing.
Idiots can't stand any opinion other than their own. They insist this open forum should only be for them. They tend to generalize because they see this place as hosting some war where you're either with them or against them. And they can't understand why anyone wouldn't think exactly like them and will even declare that people with differing opinions don't exist and are simply denying "the truth".

Sadly, both sides bash each other on this site.
You probably notice the Atheist Bashers because they're not on your side and they tend to get under your skin.
I would say it is a representative cross section of the world....meaning the people on here.
You bring up an interesting point....is Atheism a religion?

There are a few reasoanable atheists in here and when those chance meetings happen I appreciate them. Other than that I wonder at times when I hear them say how atheists are smarter, more generous and more moral than religious people. All the makings of the master race.

I don't bash, I voice my personal opinion. As does everyone else on here. By the way us Atheists are the minority on this forum.

Atheists are not united in my experience. Their experiences with religion determine to what degree they find religion "unreasonable." Many don't assert that disbelief is necessarily the most "reasonable" conclusion any particular person can come to, but many do.
Philosophy has been studying this question for hundreds of years, so, I insist that there is no "definitive" for what is the "most reasonable" conclusion.

It would seem that way to a believer.
To many atheists it seems just the opposite.
I think the bashing is about equal.

How about
"People with Strong Opinions Most of Which Do Not Express Well and their Hypocrite Peers"

you want a prediction?
They're going to act all surprised (and defensive) at this question when we know they are just here to pat eachother on the back....lol how pathetic

Perception is skewed by beliefs.
Atheists get attacked too.
