IPL vs ICL. Why fight?

Since this is all about money, why don't the two groups get together and come up with a tournament? Something like the winner of ICL meets the winner of IPL. Kind of like NFL (NFC vs AFC). Everyone will be a winner and it will be fun too.

Since the BCCI is filled with ego-filled clowns, I don't think they would entertain such an idea.

Update:

Tadeeb, I agree. The fight has nothing to do with cricket. As I mentioned in the first sentence, it is all about money. The BCCI is a greedy glutton and wants to hog all the riches. Recognizing ICL will only add to its riches (the clowns at BCCI are too blind to see that).

The people will never stop going to games. You can rule that out.

    Thats a nice idea.

But things wont work between BCCI and Zee.

BCCI is already so fired up due to players going towards ICL.

It's nothing but an ego clash..........the BCCI has never been in favour of former cricketers running the board as a lot of money is generated . Money & money only matters most for the BCCI . They could not digest the fact that former cricketing great Kapil Dev , appointed by them as the head of the National Cricket Academy , would be heading IPL .

The fight has nothing to do with cricket, but about generating

more popularity which leads to more revenue. How in the hell

do we think BCCI is going to allow ICL to have revenue sharing.

I do not think so....but unfortunately they are killing the young

    players by threatening them.

The only way to change this BCCI bullism attitude is stop

going to these games and not to buy what they sponsor.....

Instead support ICL to bring good young players to the international level and competition. Only when this happens

and nail in coffin is made we do not see any changes.

As you said earlier, this is all about money.......& coming to fight between BCCI & ICL, I guess it's good for Indian Cricket.......though it will divide the players/audiences, it will give rise to competition...........Let me give u an example........

In India, the performance of BSNL was horrible before the Private sectors entered the market, & now there's a tough competition b/w the BSNL & private sectors & this has proved beneficial for the public..........

Hope same things happen in the field of Cricket.

ICL, as IPL formed only to copy the ICL, ICL started first the club cricket concept

yOUR iDEA looks super !! but ...but ,,,, not realistic.. actually BCCI has made & publicised IPL only to clash with ICL.. they just couldn't digest the fact that how come another organisation can make an influence in Indian cricket,, they got scared.. & started by influencing ICC not to give official status to ICL & they are attracting the foreign players with so much bigger deals that arises some questions..

But its atleast good for the cricketers both young/ & retired that they have a "choice" now ...

I will give two years to IPL and ICL one year for greed and next year for Ego then both of them will close down.

The reason? Indians and other Cricket playing nations associate their pride with their nations. Who is interested in the cricket of the clowns?

If ICL agrees to share its revenues with BCCI, take my word they will agree after all as you said it is all about money
