Question about best answers?

I have 3457 total answers and 368 best answers, yet my percent of best answer is showing as 10%.

Can anyone explain?

Update:

I realise rounding up is required, but the deficit is over 2%. It should be 12%.

Update 2:

My bad... the penny has dropped, thanks all.

Your profile always shows the percentage rounded down to a whole number. The percentage shown when you hover over the avatar is rounded up at .5 and down otherwise.

If I hover over your avatar I see 11%. If I go to your profile I see 10%.

I calculate 10.64506%. You are doing the math wrong. It is best answer / total answers NOT best answer / not best answer.

    Closer to 11% than 10%.

10% of 3457 is 345 and Yahoo apparently is rounding up or down in your situation.

    edit

sho is 11% like barkly hound stated when hovering.

It takes a while for yahoo to catch up on your profile page which it states you have 10% but if you put your mouse over your avatar it states 11%, they do catch up eventually!

That's pretty darn close to 10%. I wouldn't be concerned about it. It's not like you get a prize for the higher percentage.

Do the math. It comes to 10.6%, which on your profile is rounded DOWN to 10% and on your pop-up is rounded UP to 11% (go figure!).

It sounds like some needs "Hooked on Math".
