Where does this years's SE division rank in the worst divisions of all time?
I mean, this division is probably one of the worst the NHL has seen in ages. If the division winner did not make the playoffs, no team would be a playoff team. There was also a long period where no team was at .500, and an even longer time when there was only one team past that mark.
But what was the worst division of all time and how does it compare to this year's SE?

I agree with LITY the first few years after the 1967 expansion the West blew chunks.
In the SE's defence, they have two of the last three cups so sit down, shut up and pass the remote, LMAO.

In 1967-68, no team in the Western Conference finished above 0.500..............yet 4 teams had to make the playoffs. The Toronto Maple Leafs (defending Cup champs) failed to make the playoffs despite having more points than the top team in the west.
