Both are 99% effective but condoms also keep you safe from STDs

Neither alone is more effective than the other. With both, you still have a chance of getting pregnant. It is fine if you choose to use just a condom or if you decide to go on birth control.....but it's best to use birth control and a condom together (<<---as a form of back up protection).

well depends on what ur trying to prevent. birthcontrol can protect well births but not std's and a condom can protect both but it can bust or be less effective than birth control i would suggest both. but if you both have been tested and all that mumbo jumbo id go with birth control no condom.

The condom of course, just make sure it doesn't break. Birth control & a condom together is the best I'd say. Most forms of birth control are 98 - 99.8% effective. Condoms only 97%.

Both together is most effective, but if I had to choose I would say using a condom is more effective than birth control because they prevent the sperm from entering where as the birth control kills the sperm when it gets in but if that fails then the sperm is still inside you...I dunno. Plus condoms protect against STDs and birth control doesn't.

A condom is a form of birth control. You can get pregnant from either combination; no form of contraception is 100%, not even when combined with another form.

Both is best but if you had to pick one I would say the birth control as long as you have taken it as you are supposed to. I've always been told that the birth control is 99.9% effective. There is always that 1% chance that it might not work though, so go with both.
