If Michigan and Florida voters had been given their chance to have their say, where would we be now?

If Michigan and Florida had not been wrongfully stripped of their delegates, Hillary would have gone into super Tuesday with a great deal of momentum, and might have closed the deal back then, and could now be concentrating on McCain.

Both Michigan and Florida are states with demographics that favor Hillary, and she most likely would have won both of those primaries, especially Florida.

Even if the rest of the votes had gone the same, Hillary would now be ahead in the delegate count.

Why were Michigan and Florida stripped of their delegates? Now that so many of the old time democrats have come out for Obama, it sure looks like the fix was in from the beginning, especially considering the party machines influence in caucus primaries and South Carolina's history. Why shouldn't Michigan and Florida be allowed to hold primaries when they choose to do so?

The democratic party really has screwed up this election.

You also have to considered all the voters that stayed home knowing they were stripped of their delegates. Allowing those votes to count disenfranchises voters too. The fact is Hillary agreed to enforce those rules, and now is only backpedaling because she is in trouble. She thinks she's special.

    To Timothy A:

Florida Democrats did NOT stay home and refrain from voting in the primary because voting for the presidential candidate was not the only issue on the ballot. There was a record turnout of voters because there was a property tax amendment on the ballot. Democrats overwhelmingly chose Hillary as their candidate. Even Obama's sneaking in ads on CNN and ESPN (knowing they would air in Florida BEFORE the primary, thus violating the "No campaign" pledge) didn't help him.

By the way, Florida Democrats had no say in what the Good Old Boy Republicans in Tallahassee decided to do with the primary. The Republicans decided that since they were losing only half their delegates it was an OK price to pay. The fact that the Democrats lost all their delegates didn't matter since this State has a habit of squashing the voice of Democrats.

The Democratic candidates and the Democratic voters in the State of Florida are the ones who paid a heavy price for a Republican decision.

I don't think any sort of fix was in from the beginning. At the beginning, no one thought Obama would pose much of a threat to Clinton's nomination. Why would they have anticipated that MI and FL would make much difference when Clinton was expected to blaze straight through and win the nomination by now?

The DNC stripped MI and FL of their delegates because MI and FL decided to move their primaries up before February 5. It was the penalty for moving their primaries. When you're talking about electing a nominee for a specific party, the party makes the rules.

No one can say where things would be...... because the primaries werent sanctioned Hillary was the only candidate on the ballot in michigan...and she was the only candidate to campign in Florida......had there actually been competitive campaigns in those states anything could have happened, including a win by Clinton, Obama, Biden, or any other candidate

What you failed to mention is in the case of Florida, it was the republican controlled legislature and republican governor that moved the primary date. If this election is screwed up then both parties share the blame.

Stop living in the past and embrace the future. Change is the future and the Status quo is the past.

    Obama +Change = The Future

Hillary + Status Quo = The Past

    Obama 08 !!

But they didnt. If they had kept the dates the way they had been, both candidates would have had more time to campaign, which would have benefited Obama.
