Great question! I've been wondering too.
I automatically assumed that I would do Target. Then I was reading about how people have had some problems with registry returns. No registry is perfect, and sometimes you get duplicates or messed up items. From what I've heard, you can only return something with a receipt, gift receipt, or check/credit card from person who purchased the gift -- EVEN if it was on your registry.
I don't know about you, but if I get a duplicate gift or if something is broken/ripped/etc., I'm not going to demand the receipt from grandma or haul her to Target with me.
But...Target does have fun stuff. I broke under the pressure and registered there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
We're also looking at a place like Lowe's or Home Depot. Note: Home Depot's online and in-store registries aren't linked, which seems pretty inconvenient.
Good luck!

best thing to remember when doing a bridal registry is make sure you pick stores that everyone can afford. Like you can have a bridal registry at Target and also have one at Macy's. You don't won't to put your guest in an uncomfortable position as having nothing but expensive stores on your list with expensive items. if they can't afford something they will feel embarrassed.

It depends on what type of things you'd like to have. If you just want general kitchen stuff, sheets, etc., I'd go to Target or Bed, Bath & Beyond. If you want china & crystal, Dillard's or Macy's is great. Be sure to overorder. You want every guest to have a gift to purchase in his/her price range.

I'm registered at *nine* places: Target, Wal-Mart, Crate and Barrel, Linens N' Things, Boscov's, Macy's, Kohl's, JC Penney, and Lowe's. Registering is so much fun! :)

We are going to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, also Target, and for our cutlery we are going to Cutco online...to complete out knife set...if you live in an area with a Bloomingdales I would so go for it! they have incredible china and flatware and crystal glass...but if your in an area like me, take what you can get...also target is good to register at cause your guests have the option of shipping your gift to you after they have purchased it...unlike walmart...they dont do that. good luck to you!!

We did Bed Bath and Beyond because they have nice stuff, a wide variety, and their return policy is amazing. I've heard bad things about Target's return policy, so maybe avoid there.
