China drilling for Oil near Florida?

Question

Environmentalists have been the driving force against drilling for oil in the US and they are the driving force that kept us from drilling in an area near Florida. Now, Cuba sold China the right to drill for oil there. China doesn't have an EPA and couldn't care less about the environment why is this not being covered on the news more? Who will take the blame when the Chinese mess up and kill all of the wildlife with an oil spill? Oh, and finally, why didn't the US government charge China for it, since it doesn't really belong to Cuba)

The United States is not in the oil business, and it hasn't been since 1998 when it sold off Elk Hills. We rely on commodities markets and international corporations to get our oil. What do you want to do? Nationalize oil production like Hugo Chavez? Either it's open to coporate drilling or it's not here. There is no picking and choosing who drills once it is open. Oil companies export oil produced here, Shell is a Dutch company, and so on. If they allow drilling in the area, then whoever secures the leasing agreements gets the oil.

China cares little about America's interests in world affairs?  

Do you think multi-national corporations do either?  Or the Environmentalists?  Or NGO's?

They have no allegiance to any sovereign nations interest.

These are entities that are globalist; that do not respect sovereign boundaries, laws or interests.

No one will take the blame although the "environmentalists" should take that blame.
