I've read in several places that the average Christian gives 10 times what an atheist gives. Does this giving by believers include building structures and spreading the word? How much does the average believer actually give to what we could all agree is actually charity?

does it exist or is it just a sort of inner need to find purpose. I think we all need purpose and that a person needs to feel connected to something...and believers just opt for the easy way and let a fantasy critter do all their thinking.

That a person must bow before the "wisdom" of others "trained" in interpreting the Bible? Doesn't it even say in the Bible that understanding the Bible comes to a person--doesn't this mean that a logical thought process comes from he mind of the person reading and that belief can only come from that personal understanding? I'm no longer a believer, but one of the reasons is that I cannot just take another person's word for something that cannot be measured (it can't come from some other person, it must come from me).

I'm not a believer, but your Christ said "the dead sleep until his return". So, this means to me that this heaven is a future event or promise beyond the return of your Christ. Is there a problem within churches in that people just make up crap and then church leaders conveniently don't correct the misconception?--it seems that a heaven with loved ones is very popular. Does this misconception create a future problem with even more sects seeing and interpreting the Bible as they see fit?

even when it seems it's pretty cut and dried and even Fox News admits that an extreme foul has been committed--Fox seems to blame blacks. The snarky comments about how dysfunctional black societies are and how so many bad & violent things happen because of blacks (even NBA players) could not come at a more inappropriate moment. Was this just Fox talking to old and extreme people and "the Hell with the rest of you" ??

The short version of Mark ends with the 2 women being afraid and leaving the tomb ... "they encounter a man dressed in white who announces the Resurrection of Jesus.

Verse 8 ends with the women fleeing from the empty tomb, and saying "nothing to anyone, because they were afraid"

The longer version of Mark shows Jesus as actually visiting the Apostles...was it written to simply help convince early Christians? And does this show Christianity as being simply false?
