So where are we at Easter-wise?

The season of Easter lasts until Pentecost.

Gambling, chocolate and whiskey, yes.

But not really in excess.

In fact, I don't gamble. I don't have the talent or the money for it.

And I don't drink whiskey either. I don't think anybody can drink whiskey in moderation. It's never the intention or what really happens. I've been meaning to drink a glass of red wine each night though. I haven't cared enough to go buy a bottle though.

But chocolate? Chocolate is good stuff. I'm all about it.

But I didn't refrain from chocolate on Easter either, so I'm not sure what's going on in this question.

Hookers sounds like a direct violation of sexual sin, so that's not happening regardless.

for most people in the LDS church Easter has been boiled down to hiding easter egg candy. there is almost no mention of what it meant to atheistic satan worshiper, i think even satan worshiper dont know what it means. but it does have a countefeit story to resurrection.

most people in my church do teach the Passover Resurrection and the last meal of Jesus. the resurrection of christ fulfills the promise of Jeremiah saying that dead bones of Israel will take upon them flesh. the first fruits of jesus resurrection was that peope all over the world were resurrected in bodily form with Him.

thats what the resurrection season means to almost all christians.

p.s. i missed your slur against faithful people, believe it or not there are people who do not cheat onn their spouses nor do they masturbate and do practice chastity until marriage.

i am one person that has back sliden but i have never been with a woman since 1980; except in my dreams. and in fantacy with porn. i am sad that i never married. unless dreams do have real sexual encounters. but drug rape is never ever legal marriage.

The question is very misleading. Catholics participate in a religion that is not Christianity. Christians have no call to fast along with others. We can fast as we choose. We can celebrate God whenever we choose. With that said, I remember the bible saying something about all people coming short of the glory of God. Catholics are not any better or any worse than anyone else. But, they do receive religious commands from someone other than God.
