Out of Curiosity...For the Atheists who say education is what we all need now?

Why is it that the Atheists on this site are the ones that ask the most

ridiculous, un-intelligent goofy questions?

Mind you not all, in fact some Atheists I really think are truly good people and can see a light and beauty in them even though they might not know what I see..

However the majority of Atheists questions ask:

Does Jesus have homosexual urges- Why not read the Bible and you might learn something about Jesus

Spaghetti Monster- Is this the latest dish on preparing Pasta?

Is it wrong to take the birth control pill so that your boobs will grow?

Wow is that a question from your science class?

If rapture comes and takes away the religious people, what should we change the name of R&S to? how about LEFT BEHIND?

Are atheists here suppose to represnt the population of the educated?

It is possible to be both well-educated and silly at the same time. I know for a fact that one of the silliest people on here has a PhD.

''I am Russian and I lived in the pure atheistic country , the USSR'' USSR doesn't exist anymore and Russia is not an atheistic country. FAIL COUNT: 1. ''This country was created by the most great atheist of the world,Vladimir Lenin'' Lenin was never a ''great atheist''. Atheists never see him that way. He was a mass-murderer, a tyrannical ruler, a corrupt dictator. FAIL COUNT: 2 ''Darwin`s evolution had a lot of holes based on the micro evolution which we already had.'' Bullsh!t allegation that you failed to back up. FAIL COUNT: 3 ''Also I have found that Albert Einstein never was an atheist, he was a deist'' Really? ''The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still purely primitive, legends which are nevertheless pretty childish'' = Einstein. Its fair to say Einstein was an agnostic. FAIL COUNT: 4 ''And I think that soul is a kind of energy which the science still is not able to measure'' We don't give a rat's @ss to what you ''think''. FAIL COUNT: 5 ''let you read the first law of thermodynamics(the law of conservation of energy ). ANY energy is not able to disappear or to die !'' Yes. Energy can not be created nor destroyed. But this doesn't support in any way whatever argument you're trying to kick up. FAIL COUNT: 6 ''what education do you have ?'' I'm a first year student at high school. Thanks for playing. But you FAIL.

  • I don't think the problem lies in the questions asked, for example;

    "Does Jesus have homosexual urges?"

Raises the issue of just how human Jesus was, an issue which was has been central to a huge amount of debate among Christians from day one of the religion. An issue that's lead to some ideas being declared heretical by certain Christians, it matters that much.

"Is it wrong to take the birth control so your boobs will grow"

Is a moral question touching on things from self-image to drug use.

I think the problem may be that you're not getting the deeper meanings in the questions. Maybe the askers aren't being suitably clear.

In fact I think your reference to the FSM seals it, the FSM is frequently mis-understood by people.

    Hope that helps.

Some of those questions are sarcastic-others are by people who are simply naive. I've seen quite a few idiotic questions from Christians PLUS they constantly ask the same questions PLUS they generally can't spell 'atheist' correctly. Since you obviously haven't learned by now, maybe you should start thinking about the idea that there are all types in every category.

Start paying attention to Christian answers. You should be ashamed at how they make Xians look (if you generalize).

Alot atheists on this site don't take religion as seriously as you "Spaghetti Monster- Is this the latest dish on preparing Pasta?" do you really take questions like this seriously? Is the Flying Spaghetti Monster really such a threat to Christianity? its a JOKE

    spread some love baby!

Trust me. The atheists here do not represent our greatest and brightest minds. There certainly are some VERY bright atheists on here but there are also many normal people that happen to be atheists... like myself. I often ask silly questions to have a good time. Occasionally I even make a point or two.

On this board, I see the most intelligence in the answers, not the questions.

If you have not noticed, it is comedy. I would say that I have seen worse questions and answers from theists, and they are serious.

Jesus having homosexual urges is a valid question, not everything (real or not) was recorded in the bible.

Do some research on the FSM, and then you will understand why many Atheists refer to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

The rapture itself is a joke. even if we were left behind, I'd rather be here.

When you start to think logically, weighing the possibilities, and understanding that there is a plethora of different people in the world, then I will consider the majority of Christians intelligent.

"Are atheists here suppose to represnt[sic] the population of the educated?"

Definitely NOT ... just like the xians and fun-dies in R&S are not representative of the Christian community ... are they?

You don't know a parody when you see one though, huh?

The questions are a humorous imitation of the outrageously lame questions, statements, and answers from conservative Christians that flood Y!A on a daily basis.

Atheists do represent the educated. Over 98% of the members of the National Acadamy of Scientists are atheists. But there are a lot of young immature people who have just discovered that the Bible is just a book of "old jewish fairy tales" and want to shock the believers, so they make outragous comments. Personally I don't care what anyone else believes, it doesn't affect me one way or the other.

I'm an atheist, and I'm here to have fun, not to educate anyone. To be honest, I have invested a lot of time, money and effort in my education, and I'm not very motivated to educate others unless I am being compensated in some way.

The atheists who are here do not believe in gods, and that's all there is to it. We're not here to "represnt [sic] the population of the educated" - and we're not here to be subjected to your inane rants, either.

Besides, what would be the point of asking intelligent questions here? Most of my questions get deleted anyway, so I'm not about to put a lot of effort into them.
