You can get instructions on aiming headlights here: http://www.automedia.com/Aiming_Headlights/ccr2001...

Wall measurement have nothing to do with the aiming of the lights under driving conditions. I simply aim my low beams too high and take my adjusting tool with me. Every time an opposing car flashes me I turn my headlamps down one full turn. When people stop flashing me I stop adjusting.

first park the car 3 feet from the wall...turn on the lights...use a piece of tape and make a straight line on the wall then use another piece to make an x mark where the center of the lights are...back the car up and you should be about 25 feet from the wall..make the adjustments to where the light shines about 2 inches under the straight line you made...and you should have it set just right

Just giving stuart credit for a great answer. Some people can be so narrow minded. I gotta adjust mine too thanks for the stats stew.

Youy have to take them to a shop. There is an actual headlamp adjusting tool and every car has its own specs.
