You need to find a ESL school or college and register as a international student (you'll probably need proof of sufficient funds or a sponsor, high school diploma and TOEFL scores for college), then they will issue you a I-20 form which is very important. The school will give you the papers to send to immigration and they will explain how and help you with it.
Or you could pay about 400 dollars to an immigration lawyer and they will do everything for you, but it's easy to do it yourself.
