What is the best thing one can say to someone that has lost someone close to their heart?
Because I always believed that cracking a joke helps but now I am grown and needs to act alittle like an adult to comfort someone in pain and sympathys with them.do you agree or am i wrong??

I too believe a joke usually helps because a smile on their face means it is helping. But honestly I'd just give them a loooonnnggg hug. They will probably end up crying in your arms but I think it is better than saying anything that they probably hate hearing.
