Letter of Interest question?

I am writing a letter of interest for an internal promotion(resumes are not needed) There are several projects I worked that I am mentioning and some improvements I made. Should I write the details of how or just mention I improved quality in a certain area. Considering it is all in house and the recruiter will understand most of what I am saying I am not sure how detailed I should get.

Ideally, you should send a one-page letter. So, If there are so many things you did to improve your workplace that including the details would push some of it onto a second page, then just put them in a bulleted list.

    Example:

"In the ___(#) years since I was hired, I accomplished the following:

    >negotiated a contract with a new office supply company, saving the company $XX over the last year

    >implemented a new process that increased the amount of production and gave workers more time to complete other important tasks

    >trained ___(#) new employees in the _______ department...

Whoever is hiring for the position will get more details from you in the interview and will check with your supervisor(s) to see if the information you provided was accurate and to get more details from them.

    Good luck

i would give as much detail as possible because i think you should interest the person so he could understand as much as possible.
