Yes, I believe that's true. What else is there to live for?

Some people are in heaven now.

Paul teaches (for believers) that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

    Mark 16:19

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

    Dear Joe,

Yes there are people in heaven now. The proof is when Jesus took Peter, james, and John into a high mountain to pray. There on the mountain, Jesus is transfigured before them into His glory.... We also see that Moses and Elijah meet and talk with Jesus. This event is recorded in Matthew 17, Mark 9, and Luke 9. So we know that Moses and Elijah are in heaven right now.

The bible's thoughts are that we are to be caught up with him in the air during the rapture. Read the bible. People's thoughts are irrelevent.

To the answer right below mine: Someone designing this world with all it's complexities makes much more sense than it designing itself. Did someone build that computer you are typing on, or did it just magically "grow" out of the desk it's sitting on over millions of years. Talk about bs (bologna sandwich) that takes the cake.

To Bobby Jim: Read II Cor. 5:8 again. Just because these people are "willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" does not mean "to be is to be"

Source(s): common sense enough to read the word of God and obey it.

I don't believe in the rapture the word is not even in the bible when Christ returns then he will raze the dead in Christ and take his chosen those who are dead now sleep until his return.

no one has experience in death to share with us. death is a mystery to all that are alive. we will not know the truth until our time has ended. logic dictates that there is a heaven and hell, but to everyone, there might be versions. wrotting in a hole is probably someones hell, while sitting by the right hand of the creator, might be heaven. we are individuals, we are unique in our own right, we dream, we create, we worry, we suffer, we are human-that is not a terrible thing-just complicated.
