O.K. Western history buffs.................?

Which movie was more to your liking and factual.'Tombstone' starring Kurt Russell? Or Kevin Cosner's 'Wyatt Earp'?

Why or why not ?

Update:

Heidi! That was the movie with Robert Duvall and wasn't about the Earps(Good movie though ,eh?)

Having lived 15 miles from the REAL Tombstone Arizona for the past 18 years, and having been an avid reader of history, and student of the "Gunfight" legend, and knowing what I know about the REAL Wyatt Earp (his family, friends, and events), well, NEITHER movie is all that historically accurate on *many* points. The gaffs and liberties taken with historical fact are too numerous to list here.

The 1957 movie "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" is just as good.

(Every time I drive to Tombstone I drive by the Clanton Ranch, which is still in their family).

Source(s): My wife's cousin owns "Johnny Ringo's Bar" in Tombstone. We go to Tombstone several times a month. And l on October 26, 2006 we participated in the 125 year anniversary of the actual gunfight.
