I have installed all kinds of laminate. It all depends on the amount of traffic you expect and the rooms where you want it, but all in all, the on-sale laminate works pretty good.

Pergo is great and is long lasting. My Uncle is in the Hardwood flooring business and he recommends it to others as a good alternative.

You get what you pay for. Remeber wood last the longist but if it is more then you can aford get the one you can and later you can get the real wood.

depends what room you are using it in. i've had it in my office for 2 yrs now and it's fine. it was $1.19/ sq ft. i never recommend the cheapest, but it worked out for me so far. if i were to use it in a kitchen or bath, i would probably upgrade.
