Annoyed.......................?

I know now that none of us really know anything about it at all, but it looks great.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.

During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

There is a way that you can get the answers that you are looking for and that is through a personal bible study of your own, contrary to what you might think there are answers and you can prove it to yourself without anybody telling you what to believe. Sometimes you just need a little direction and be shown where to look and learn to reason on what you find. This would include the study which involves all the bible writers which do back each other up by the way, although they were written at different time periods. A study would allow you to understand what was going on at that time period and why, what God's purposes were at that point and why he acted as he did at that time, and what he purposes for mankind in the future.

You also see the answers to your question of does a person go to heaven or as you put it, "rot in the ground." Actually we all do that (rot) unless we live through Armageddon and that is a whole other thing to read about and understand. Don't worry, the creator of the heavens and the earth, and you, is perfectly capable of recreating you as you were before this rotting thing occurred. The bible tells us the wages of sin is death, so we must all die.

However the story about heaven is a little more involved than most of society's religions have portrayed. If you study the bible than you will see that there is a definite number stated in the bible of those with a heavenly hope, 144,000. Sound crazy? Nope, not if you read it and spend some time researching it, it is in the bible.

Revelation 14:1-3

1 And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound out of heaven as the sound of many waters and as the sound of loud thunder; and the sound that I heard was as of singers who accompany themselves on the harp playing on their harps. 3 And they are singing as if a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth.

Also, there is another number that the bible speaks of as inheriting the earth, and that is the other sheep which no man is able to number. That is most of us, you and me and many, many others who do not have the heavenly calling. (Heavenly Calling)-these are the ones that rule over the earth with Jesus as king, remember the lords prayer? Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven? The earth was not made for nothing, it was made to be inhabited. What is the Kingdom that you pray for? It is a real government, Gods righteous government which will rule over the earth. Learn more. I am including a link to the things I have mentioned to you in this paragraph and I think it will be interesting for you to read. Please look it up in your own bible where the scripture is quoted and think about what it is really saying to you. It is no wonder that most of mankind is disillusioned with religion in gerneral because so many teach untruths and religious rituals that are not christian have been adapted into religion that are no part of it. God is a God of truth and he can not lie, so any religion that has untruths is not true religion. You have every right to question one that does this and to look into your bible and find answers.

Psalm 37:9-11:

9 For evildoers themselves will be cut off,

But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.

10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;

And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.

11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,

And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

We can benefit by bringing our life in line with Gods commandments now and it will bring us rich blessings.

“God himself will be with them,” says the Bible, “and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3, 4)

Nobody knows what happens when you die. One could go to heaven, or Valhalla, or Nirvana, or someplace else that us mortals have never heard of. We could reincarnate, or we could become ghosts. We could go to Hell, or Sheol, or Purgatory.

The answer to your question is yes, I am a little iffed when people act like they know where they go when they die because nobody has done it and lived to tell about it (except Jesus, if you believe such things). So believe what you must, for the answer will come to you only when you die. Focus on life, not death, for life is fleeting and will be over so quickly. Besides, you'll have all of eternity to think about death...

Being a christian it is very hard for me to even imagine that heaven doesn't exist. Here is a thought............ don't you think it is strange that earth is just far enough but just close enough to the sun so that we are in existance. How could this be without a God.Everyone has their own thought on the Lord but why even take that chance. Why not have faith hope love and charity when there is even a small or large chance of it being the truth(which in me I KNOW it is). Isn't it better to beleive then not to? I agree with people when they say how do you know that ? It is just me but there is a feeling and a clarity in me in my soul that the Lord our savior saves us!

Yes it annoys me too. The fact is we do all know one thing. WE ARE HERE. What we do not know is WHY ARE WE HERE. Nor have I ever heard or read anybody of the Christian or Islamic Faith ever giving any rational answer to that question. Likewise we ALL know we are going to die one day. But none of us knows WHEN ?

Not one person who has tried to answer this question actually "knows" what happens after we die.? At least I am honest enough to admit I don't know .So why can not everybody admit that and stop claiming they know something they don't know?

It really irks me to be told, one way or the other, what is going to happen to me, as if someone else's opinion, and an unproven one, at that, is Absolute fact.

People who whine about not getting any respect need to keep in mind that telling others how they should be thinking is seriously disrespectful. Unless they've they've discovered how to have their cake, and eat it too, then they have no grounds to open their mouths.

I don't KNOW what happens after death, but I can use my rational brain to determine that nonexistence is more likely than going to some Happy Magic Land.

It's the same way I reasoned that leprechauns don't exist. I have no proof they don't exist, but not having proof that something doesn't exist, doesn't automatically makes something possible.

it is very arrogant and prideful to 'know' anything about what happens when we die.....but it is all speculation anyway...what bothers me most is when others say that someone they don't know--i.e. someone online--is immoral or evil or a bigot, etc. It is completely ignorant and ugly to make judgements on strangers in a chat forum....and not remotely religious-like behavior.

I am a Christan and I don't KNOW we go to heaven after death, I just believe that is what happens, I'm open to what others think happens after death.
