Do You Mostly Attend Church on Special Holidays?

This is just for those who attend church. Do you only go to church on Special Holidays like Christmas and Easter? Or do you attend on a regular bases? Just courious because it seems we always have a larger attendance on the holidays.

I like to attend church every Sunday and Every Holiday. I have often wondered what others get out of going on just special occasions. But, it is better than not going at all.

I think many times there are more on holidays is because people are so transient and families have to go out of town or they come to your home. You may also be more inclined to invited someone on a special occasion than you would on a normal church day.

Many say you do not have to go to church that God is with them all the time. But He is the one who commanded us to worship and fellowship in His House. There are many more blessings to be received by attending church than watching it on television (if you even do that). I think that is a cop out for not going.

There is no greater blessing than to fellowship with God.s people!

I attend regularly but I know what you mean when you say it seems there are larger attendances on special days.

It may seem that more are there but it may also be that all the people of the parish have attended the one, principal service for example Midnight Mass at Christmas - there's only one midnight Mass so people who go to other masses all come together for the midnight mass, similarly with the Easter Vigil Mass. I agree, though, that more people seem to make the effort - I wonder why they don't go during the rest of the year!

I am there on a regular basis and sometimes even more over the holidays. For those folks that only attend on the holidays-I look at it this way-rather have them there once a year than never!

    Happy Easter Season to You!

I am a regular Church goer. I know there is quite quite a large number of people on special days ......more so , if it's a holiday. I don't think a Christian should attend Church just on those days when he or she has nothing else to do.

I don't have holiday specific based religion aka going to church only on holidays. I don't go to church. My God is where ever I go and is available to me when ever I need it. Creator goes every where.
