Where can I get a decent, nice formal dress for UNDER like 20 dollars?

I got a very nice one AND a shawl at Kohl's for $19. You can always try a thrift store or a donation place or something like that. If not- I know Hot Topic has a few that are cool. I heard from a freind that Ross, Dillard's, Wetseal, and Forever 21 are good. Perhaps even something generic, such as Target, would have something catchy in the clothes section. Stay away from those big, huge, popular places- their's will be expensive. And I wouldn't go to Macy's; I looked there last year...nothing under $100! You could take a peek at J.C. Penny, but I don't know their prices. Perhaps try something on the internet- that would be what I would do (sources). Sometimes it will be cheaper on the websites, and you'll get a wider variety. Sorry I can't be much help. I'm not a great fashion queen. :)

You can't. Unless you want something cheap from like Forever 21. If you want a nice formal dress you're going to have to actually spend some money.

Check out area thrift stores. Also, if there's a Ross in your area, you can sometimes find good deals there as well. Keep in mind that what you find may be in need of minor repair, so check it to see if any repair necessary is something you're capable of doing yourself.

If it were right after Prom or Homecoming, I would recommend going to Dillard's.

I once got an evening gown there for $11 (originally $150).

It was marked down because it was right after Prom and they were trying to clear out their merchandise.

some places like deb and dillars have dresses on sale. they might be like 30, but fry forever 21, kohls, jcpennys

you could try online - ebay always has some good bargains. but you might have a little bit of difficulty finding one /that/ cheap. goodluck though, you might just find that one in a million!
