I raise white deer. The bucks are right now beginning to have velvet buttons. Mid March.

In the Summer. By Fall they are rubbing off the velvet and getting them ready for use. By late Winter, they will start to shed them.

They loose them between December and February and start growing them between March and April.

as soon as they shed the last set, they start the process of growing new ones. Nutrition and genetics and age will determine the mass and quality of his next rack
