What is your motivation?

We all have a reason for wanting to get fit and none of them are wrong. Share with me some of your reasons for working out.

To stay motivated, I think of how awesome my body/muscles will look after I exercise.

My TKD instructor told me that's how he stays motivated--it DOES work!

I have been lifting weights for roughly 4-5 years now..I remember back when I first started, I can admit I just wanted big biceps to get more woman..But I soon realised that there is so much then that..I dropped every sport I played for weight lifting, nothing ever came close to giving me the feeling that I get when I'm there, in a way I'm at peace with me self, nothing els matters..It's an art form and I can control every aspect of it, which is an amazing thought and feeling..To me nothing beats waking up early in the morning, going to the gym with your music turned on loud-thumping in your head, you lay back on that final last struggling set..Now that is accomplishment...I guess you could say I'm self motivated.

Part health reasons part vanity reasons.

My family members (on both sides) have a tendency to die young because they don't eat well, they're not active and they don't take care of their bodies. (My parents are on that slippery slope as we speak!) I don't want to be like that. I want to live my life to its fullest and enjoy myself - not have loads of doctor visits and a schmorgas board of meds to take every day.

The other reason is because I want to have the best body in the room - especially with shorts weather coming soon.

    (just being honest)

    Cheers!

I added you as a contact. I love your answers, they are masculine and honest. I like to work out because it relieves pressure. It keeps my state of mind happier and less stressful. It's nice to be in shape but I also think being balanced is very important.

It makes me feel healthy and better overall. Of course I like the results as well. (physical) I'm leaner and stronger because of it. But really it's the physical activity that I enjoy, just moving around, stretching, etc. It makes everything easier and more enjoyable.

To impress somebody who probably won't even notice...it may be superficial and pointless, but for some reason it motivates me every second of every day.

id like to fit into a size 3 before summer.

i bought a pair of size 3 jeans, and every week i try them on and most weeks they keep getting looser and looser.

i have them hanging on my closet door to remind me to work out.

Source(s): i was a size 8 at the end of last summer, and now im a size 5 :D
