How much would you pay for a first-off-the-line Challenger RT8?

Have you seen these things? The first really true to original retro muscle car I've seen. Even better than the '07 Mustangs, and with 425 HP, it will give Ford some serious competition in the muscle car market.

I dunno but that car is already claimed. If they sold it someone paid a lot. My guess is that it ends up next to a classic one in some Chrysler museum.

Might be hard to wrestle it away from Jay Leno. If had the $$$, it would be cool to say, I paid almost a 120,000, and Leno would not go over 100k.

I bet it will out-sell the mustang, though the econo V6 won't arrive untill later.

As much as I want that car, and if I had the money, I still wouldn't pay a dime over MSRP. What the dealers want to charge because it is so desirable is ridiculous. If people just keep their wallets and pocketbooks closed, maybe the dealers would drop their high prices.

Personally, I'd rather have my '70 440 back. Too many years and too many miles have gone by since I had that car. It's one of the few I'd want to have back. Do you know of anybody who has one they'd like to part with?

i agree with cat lady i wouldn't pay over msrp price for the car, that wouldn't be to bright, even if it was the first one it still wouldn't be worth that much, and besides it may turn out to have more problems than you could imagine,i like dodges but there is a limit as to what i would pay for it,as with anyone else, good luck.

The first Challenger off the line was sold at auction for $400,000.
