Who is GOD???Explain?

I can't tell you who it is, but let me give you some contradictions to what the believers are claiming about it.

God is necessarily amoral because it has no life to protect, no happiness to accomplish - in essence, precisely because it is an infinitely powerful being. Such a being has no need, no necessity to do anything, because it has no needs and no criteria for choice. It also has no emotions to influence such choices, since emotions are shortcuts to compensate for limitations, and therefore reserved to limited beings. An omniscient being cannot be surprised, or any emotion that has to do with surprise. How could an unlimited, perfect being be frustrated by anything? Shamed? Or as the Christian Bible portrays its own god, pleased, furious, and vengeful? How can an unlimited being be any of these things? How could an immaterial being feel pain or pleasure? These simplistic notions must be discarded as someone's imagination gone awry.

Considering a god as an anthropomorphic construct is, however, a convenient way to use non-existing limits as an excuse to explain away evil. If a believer's god is like a human, it has feelings and limitations, and thus the restrictions of the god-concept's infinity become irrelevant in his mind. The problem of evil becomes irrelevant if the Creator cannot change this state of affairs. The contradictions and obscurity of the doctrines can be explained away by the god's necessity to work through finite humans. The lack of evidence can be countered by a limited god's "plan" which cannot be understood by humans.

When he prays, the believer feels like he is doing something, and therefore is reassured. But what he is really asking is for the laws of nature to change for his benefit, by God himself. For example, if you pray for someone to change his behavior towards you, you are asking for God to bend the laws of psychology to your benefit (and controlling another person, to boot). Furthermore, if a god did exist, he would already know everyone's desires. Thus, prayer is doubly an anthropomorphization of the god-concept. Christians routinely offer the objection that prayer could be interpreted as a desire for God to do something, rather than a demand, or a personal attempt to clarify one's mind. But even in those cases the end result is the same. As far as prayer is a "communication to God", it could not be perceived as having any effect to a believer unless he thought that his god was a limited being who needs communication.

Insofar as a god is infinite, it has no limitations to define it. Insofar as a god is immaterial, its substance cannot be defined. Insofar as a god is inexplicable by human means, it is made not to be defined. But logic tells us that anything that cannot be defined is a human invention. The believer's paradox can therefore be described in these terms: either an entity is limited, definable and human-like (therefore not worthy of worship), or it is unlimited, indefinable and inexplicable (therefore illogical). There is no way to get out of this paradox. Of course, most atheists know very well that everything is limited, but logic and good sense never get in the way of people's overactive imaginations.

Now don't bother saying a prayer for me folks, I am not a believer of any religion and do not need your misguided efforts on my part.

personally i'm religious individual, in the muslim world it is believed that there is only one god and prophet muhammed is his messenger, the last of the 30 prophets ( peace be upon) , to whome the holy Quran was reviled by the angle (jabreal). then and there islam was truly born. JUST TO MAKE A NOTE MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORIST. quran is not a joke it is truly a instruction guide how to use this world and properly function personal life and beyond. one goal of a muslim is to have strong faith in god regardless, and the day of judgement in the after life. that is just a breaf history of islam which i'v learned form my parents and the quran which has satisfied my mental arguments of life and here after, seriously long before scientist discovered things about the universe and the human body( the brain, the birth of a child and things of that nature are all mentioned in the quran. there in not a single error in the quran and no one can ever produce anything alike. now you may be thinking, that i'm just saying that because i was born muslim, well yes, but i didn't stop there i personally questioned things and compared the outer world and juged my self. it is a saying " if you seek god then god will seek you". regardless of what religion, race or anything, i would advise you to do rightious things in life, read the bible and compare it with the quran and other religious idiology- hinduism. you always have a choice, respect your parents and think about how are you different then all the people in the world who strive for money, status and things, and ask your self why you were born, and if so, what difference are you going to make. than it will motivate you to be something out of the odnary. to answer you objictive, let me ask you -can u see pain, no you can't, you can feel it.god is somewhat like that. here's a different idea, imagine u are god and you are about to take the most outragious step- to creat the universe and mankind. u gave them food, water, shelter and mates, above these matters, if mankind is given all there is to know and god told the manking who he was and even appeard evey now and then, then there really wouldn't any abjective to life. this life on earth is a true test of out obdience to god and believe. besides these matters, many people ask who jesus was in my religion, well he is one of the 30 prophets in the history of islam, and (no offence ) misconceptinon have led to be what is today christinaty. jusus never even once mentioned that he was god or son of god, he only said belived in god,one god to whome everthing belongs, who has no partner - on son, wife or anyone, if that were the case it would mean that god has sexual relationship.i apoligize if anyone was ofended by anything, may allah accept all our prayers and bless upon all humanity. thank you for taking the time to read my NOVEL.

God is the answer to life. Meaning if you know who God is, then you will know who your creator, if you know who your creator is then you know that you have a purpose in life, because everything is created for a purpose. He is the Alpha and omega, meaning everything begins with Him and ends with Him. He is the inspiration of many and their idol. If there wasn't a "god" then people would be living in a hopeless place, since they do not what is going to happen to them when they die. With God as the vocal point, you have the hope that you will enter his kingdom. You must understand that everyone has their own personal understanding and meaning of God.

God isn't any one. God is simply a word which is an idea or a notion in the mind. There is no real counter part for this particular word or idea. Its an idea much like 'the future' or 'numbers' or 'money'. These ideas are nothing more than concepts in your mind. If you try to go out and find something real or tangible for them, you will not succeed. There is no 'future' lying around anywhere for you to find. God is the same way.

God is an unseen Super power, One has to believe in it , to imagine the super power. Since this power is unseen God send Jesus his son to this earth [in the form of human flesh] for us to believe that there is an existence of this super power . When Jesus died and resurrected on the 3rd day he transformed into the Holy spirit.That's when he meets Thomas ,when all the doors were shut he appears to Thomas .

People do criticise Christian that we have 3 Gods , No. We have one God. Its just like when your Dad passes away from this earth you carry his last name and you are him because he teaches you . So is Jesus, But you will not be resurrected. Jesus did . So he transformed from human flesh to the Holy Sprit. Thats how we have the Trinity.

GOD is love, peace, happiness, king of kings, lord of lords, the bright morning star, everlasting to everlasting, the alpha and omeg, the beginning and end, the wonderful conselour, the HOLY ONE, HE is the key to eternal life.

ok. ill give u brief explaination of what i kno about God. lets c: God is a jealous GOd which only means that He doesnt want u to worship idols. he was our creator. he is the father in the trinity(God the father,God the son and God the holy spirit) He sent his one and only son in2 the world 2 die 4 us. he loves us mor than u can imagine.with him evry sin is the same in his eyes. he hates sin, but he doesnt hate u. and i could tellu alot mor, so if u want to kno mor email me.

God id not located in any particular place or object or person.the power is all- pervasive .It is one and all.at the same time .
