baseball curve question?

i've held my curve like a four seam fastball for about a year now and its been the second best on the team next to a pitcher going to some big college he's amazing, but lately is been moving like a slider instead of a curve

anyone know what i'm doing wrong

and how do you hold your breaking pitches?

I'd bet dollars to donuts that you're dropping your elbow on delivery...it's actually a failrly common mechanical problem with pitchers of all levels. Usually, it's a sign of loss in stamina.

Work on and concentrate on bringing your over over the shoulder.

If you throw it like a four seam fast then you will get more of a slider. The key to a curveball is to put your index finger with the seam and your middle finger next to it and throw it hard. If you have less grip then the ball will move better.

Your arm angle greatly affects the way a pitch comes out/type of movement on the ball.I hold my curveball in the following way : Search curveball on yahoo and look at barry zito's grip thats how I grip my curve.

I'm left-handed so do the opposite side,I also snap my wrist before I let go of the ball (put pressure on index and middle fingers for maximum rotation).Hopefully that helped.

Sounds like you're not getting on top of the ball. Your ball probably has more of a sideways rotation on it causing it to cut. Just go back to square one real quick and sharpen your tools.
