Is the Apple Computer Company anti-religion?

Just last night I had closed-captioning on the TV when the ad for the slim new Apple Air laptop comes out of the manilla envelope. The real words of the song go like this:

"I'm a new soul, I came to this strange world

hoping I could learn a bit 'bout how to give and take

I'm a young soul, in this very strange world

hoping I could learn a bit 'bout what is true and fake"

In the closed captioning, Apple mis-translates "fake" as "faith." Even if they can't hear right, the lyrics demand a word that is the opposite of "true." Give and take, true and fake. What could be easier? Faith, of course, is not the opposite of true, and it doesn't even ryhme with "take." Is Apple so twisted that they now think Faith is the opposite of Truth? This is an insult to all spiritually minded people of faith.

Update:

The mistake is built into the commercial, itself, it shows on different TV stations.

Their symbol is an apple with a bite out of it, the symbol of Eve's original sin. Of course they're anti-religious.

You realize this is ridiculous, right? They're not insulting faith. It's a typo. A technical error. Have you ever seen subtitles that didn't get at least one thing horribly wrong, change the dialog completely, or leave something out? I've never seen it, not even in movie subtitles, and certainly not on broadcast TV. Why? Because it's not human written - it's a voice-recognition program, and those are notorious for their (usually comical) horrendous transliterations.

Faith and truth don't necessarily have anything to do with each other.

Faith is mere belief - it's not specified what the believer believes in. You could believe that Gary Coleman is god. Maybe he is.

Truth is an altogether more mysterious and difficult concept.

I could never admire anyone for having 'faith'; to me it's what people have when they can't be bothered to think about what they know and what they don't know.

BTW, I have lost my own faith in Apple ever since my MacBook Pro went on the fritz and my local authorised service place totally f***ed up the process of fixing it. I will never buy another Apple ever again; next time round, I'm going Linux.

The apple computer company is for pricks who like that crappy acoustic music they play in all of their adverts.
